Who? Russian-bred, Georgian-born, London-based fashion designer David Koma
What? Spring 2017 Ready-To-Wear Collection
When David Koma was a child, he began experimenting with fashion illustration. When he was 13, he had designed his first collection. Since then, the Russian-bred designer has presented several collections a year at London Fashion Week and continues to amaze with his innovative designs. In his Spring 2017 RTW collection, Koma debuted new ways of looking at texture and form. The subtly sexy dresses experimented with different levels of exposure, skin peeking out of mesh panels and sheer insets. Industrial motifs such as ropes, chains, and studs decorate the crisp fabric and bright pops of yellow create an intriguing look. In this ready-to-wear collection, David Koma blends architectural elements with ease of confidence in flattering, structured pieces and eye-catching details.
